Took me a while to get back to this, but as promised a little tid bit about My Little Girl's experience on Padre Island and the National Shore. We did not see any baby sea turtles, but MLG did her version of "surfing." She loved, loved, loved it!And I found these little marine snails entertaining. They scoot slowly around the beach looking for food.
Sometimes in straight lines. Some times in squiggles. And then they bury themselves. They have very pretty shells. I almost wanted to take one, but then the little slimy guy would die. Po' Snail :(

We are at my dad's in Aransas Pass this weekend. We drove down to the beach in Port Aransas. The water was gorgeous today! I love Galveston, the city - it's history, etc...but, the water leaves a lot to be desired. So, to see the gorgeous tourquoise water down here - made my day!
