Yippie for Fridays off! My Little Girl and I went down to Corpus Christi to hang with the parental units and watch some fireworks put on by the company my Dad is currently working at. It was an interesting event. Dad had mentioned that there were around 5,000 employees but I did not realize how many people really would attend with their families for hot dogs, chips, drinks, snow cones, glow sticks, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, and fireworks that were the best I have ever seen. It was spectacular!
Saturday morning I left the kiddo with the grandparents to come home and do some tidying up without the "Why are you throwing that away." I did make a little detour and go kayaking for a few hours. It was my first time and I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it! I want to go again in a few weeks. Too bad I do not own a truck. I would buy my own and go often and invest in a water proof camera. I had a couple bass swimming next to me just like dolphins do out in the bay. Super cool!
Sunday, I caught Wimbeldon and sadly saw Roddick lose. Po' Boy :( . Hopefully he will win the US Open.
