A Little Family History

With everything going on with Dad's heart, he and I have talked about family health history. I found out a little piece of interesting information to add to the knowledge that I already had. I have also been meaning to write about it, but keep forgetting. So here is the second post of the day.

My great-grandma on Dad's grandfather's side had a pace maker. That is the piece of the story I knew. What I did not know is this...

In the 60's Grandpa (who lived next door) found Great-Grandma in the garden. She was not breathing. He performed CPR, and brought her back. She received a pacemaker. I had no idea that they had these little devices way back then. She lived to be 92! Most would say, well with technology these days, who knows what can happen. But she died June 7, 1988! Nearly 21 years ago!!!

If they can do that then, then maybe my Daddy will be okay. :)
