16 sleeps left

Oh my! I never thought I would say this. I really never did. After all I feel that girls are much easier to shop for than boys. But... I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO GET MY LIL' GIRL FOR CHRISTMAS.

Of course I have asked her. Several times even to see if I can get more answers or different ideas. So far at the top of her list is this cupcake baking and decorating gig. Done. Nana got it. A whopping $20.

Last night she told me, "I want Mommy for Christmas, the cupcake thing, and curtains for her room."

Awww how sweet, but kid you are not helping me any!!! BTW the curtains just need to be hung again. Yes, again. Some little child was jumping on her bed when she knows better, lost her balance, and pulled the whole entire rod down. Left two very LARGE holes in the wall because previous grouchy lady who owned the house anchored them instead of finding the studs.

Other "toys" that have been randomly said a DS and her own laptop. Well she has a Leapster which is essentially the same thing, more for her age level, and a heck of a lot cheaper than a DS or a Wii. Now the laptop...well she is just upset that Mean Old Mommy will not let her play with her precious work laptop. So she says she wants her own so she can go on the Internet and email. Really??? email... And let us think about this. If I am keeping you from my "work" laptop, maybe, just maybe Mommy would like to have her own laptop first. :)

Therefore, so far, I have purchased odds and ends (a board game, a barbie head for her to do hair on-and I only got these because they were $5 cheap at HEB), and stocking stuffers, but there is no BIG present from the S-Man, yet.

I do not know what to get. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Perhaps this is a sign that she has too much stuff? Maybe she needs socks and underwear? You know, those are really crappy gifts when you're a kid but I'd actually put them on my list as an adult. :o) I have no helpful suggestions. I'm still waiting to see what you want for Christmas...

Um, my word verification word down there is "porko." What kind of blog are you running?!

You know I thought about this being a sign of too much stuff, but I think the items she has too much of are barbies, my little ponies, and littlest pet shop items. The big things that her friends have are gaming systems, a tv, mp3 players, and those type of tech gadgets. She is not getting those. She does not need those. I won't let her have them. Instead I like her to have books, and toys that make her use her mind by doing something hands on, use her mind, or get her up and doing something. I just cant figure out what does that and will not break the bank. I feel like I am out of the loop for hot toys...

well you know i could put up that fwd i sent you wishing everyone a merry christmas. ;)

Last year Orren got a SmartCycle from Santa, and he loves it. We love it! Instead of running around the house like a wild man all winter he can burn that extra energy peddaling on the bike. And bonus...it's educational! Could it be the perfect toy? I highly recommend it. Get one.

I remember that last year! It was one of the hottest toys. I will definately check in to its availability.

BTW, how are you guys?? Do you have your new blog up and going?

We're all doing great, thanks. The new blog is in the works but not ready to be published yet.

I'm tell you - the SmartCycle is the way to go. Orren loves that he can actively play, the games have all his favorite characters, and the toy seems to be indestructible. We ordered his from Amazon last year and got a big discount and free shipping. Now go buy one!
